Why Rule 56?

Rule 56 borrows its name from the United States Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 56 for Summary Judgement. The court will grant Summary Judgement only if the party "shows that there is no genuine dispute as to any material fact" between the parties. In other words, everything is clearly understood and agreed upon, so the judge can make an informed ruling without a full jury trial. In business, Rule 56 aims to provide this same level of fact-based confidence to its clients so you can take decisive action to achieve your business objectives.
